Bituach Leumi
General Disability Allowance
A monthly allowance for people whose earning capacity fell by at least 50% because of illness, injury or a birth defect. Up to ₪4,711 a month.
Attendance Allowance
For people aged 18 to retirement age who need a lot of help from another person with daily activities, or supervision. ₪1,943–₪9,126 a month.
Disabled Child Benefit
For parents of a child with an illness, impairment or dependence on others, from 91 days to 18. ₪1,943–₪9,126 a month, up to a year back.
Mobility allowance
If a leg impairment limits your mobility: a monthly allowance for car owners or ₪2,581 without a car, and a loan for the taxes on a new car.
Work Injury Allowance
Compensation for lost pay after a work accident or occupational disease: 75% of pay, for up to 91 days. Includes accidents on the way to work.
Work Disability Benefit
A pension or grant for people left with a disability after a work injury. Earnings from work do not reduce it.
Accident allowance
For people hurt at home, on holiday or in their free time who cannot function: 75% of wages for up to 90 days. Can be paid alongside private insurance.
Long-Term Care Benefit
For people of retirement age who need help bathing, dressing, eating or moving around at home. Care hours or cash, in 6 levels.
Old-age pension
A monthly Bituach Leumi pension from retirement age. ₪1,838 single, ₪2,762 for a couple, plus increments. No income test from age 70.
Senior Income Supplement
An addition to the old-age pension for people with low income. Brings the pension up to ₪4,375 for a single person and ₪6,912 for a couple.
Survivors' pension
A monthly pension for the widow, widower and children of an insured person who died. From ₪1,838, plus grants. Claim within 12 months.
Income Support
A benefit from age 20 for people with no income or low income. Paid only from the month you apply, so do not wait.
Income tax
Tax Refund for Employees
A refund of tax over-deducted from your salary. You can claim up to 6 years back, yourself and with no fee.
Tax Credit Points
Each credit point cuts your income tax by ₪242 a month. Children, aliyah, army service, a degree — and missed points can be reclaimed for past years.
Disability Tax Exemption (9(5))
People with a disability of 90% or more, or who are blind, pay no income tax on earnings up to ₪445,200 a year.

A Ministry of Finance registry where you see all your insurance policies. The starting point for any claim from an insurer.
Pension Fund Disability Pension
A comprehensive pension fund pays a monthly pension if you lose at least 25% of your working capacity. Separate from Bituach Leumi.
Loss of Working Capacity Insurance
A policy that pays monthly when illness or injury stops you working. Many people are covered through managers' insurance and do not know it.
Critical Illness Insurance
A lump sum after a diagnosis on the policy's list, such as cancer, heart attack or stroke.
