What changes at retirement age and at 70

  • From retirement age you can receive the old-age pension if your work income is not too high. Occupational pensions do not count.
  • From 70 the pension is paid to everyone, whatever their income.
  • If the pension was withheld because of high earnings, you later get a 5% deferral increment for each year.
  • You have to claim the pension. Bituach Leumi posts a claim form a month before retirement age.

Transition grant for women born 1960 to 1966

Because the retirement age went up, women born in these years can get a grant for up to 4 months from age 62, if they have no work income in that period and meet the other conditions.
