How it is calculated

  • Daily wage: your wages for the 6 full months before reporting to the Employment Service, divided by 150.
  • Benefit: from age 28, 80% of the daily wage up to ₪207.50, 50% up to ₪311.25, 45% up to ₪415 and 30% above. Under 28: 60%, 40%, 35% and 25%.
  • Maximum: ₪550.76 a day for the first 125 days and ₪367.17 from day 126.
  • A full month: about 25 days, by the possible working days.

The amount is before income tax, Bituach Leumi and health contributions. It assumes you worked as an employee for 12 of the last 18 months and had no income while unemployed.
